Job Description & Requirements:

Swim & Tennis Club is searching for a Head Tennis Pro to teach lessons and to assist the Tennis Director with tennis activities. 

Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate and develop strong relationships with members. Bring energy and excitement to tennis programs
• Flexibility of schedule – position requires week night and weekend hours
• Prior tennis professional teaching experience
• Must be certified by the USPTA as a Professional or above
• Player rating of 4.5 or higher, with college playing experience, and must possess excellent tennis skills
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications (must be obtained within 60 days of hire)
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a private Club environment preferred.
• Proven teaching ability with adults and juniors of all skill levels
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient administrative and computer skills

Head Tennis Professional Duties:

• Support all tennis program activities and instruction
• Teach individual and group tennis lessons for all levels of play.
• Attend and help organize club-sponsored social events as requested by Tennis Director
• Teach in the junior development program
• Teach club-sponsored clinics as approved by the Tennis Director
• Assist the Tennis Director with tennis program administration

Compensation:

• Compensation will include a base salary
• Club estimates a potential of 20-25 hours/week of teaching junior program, summer camps and clinics, compensated at an hourly rate
• The Head Tennis Professional may teach individual and group lessons in addition to the 20-25hours/week described above, on courts and times specified by Club.

The Head Tennis Professional will receive a percentage of the income from all private lessons, excluding non-member surcharges
• The position includes paid vacation and sick days, full medical and dental benefits, and access to the clubs facilities for his or her immediate family
• Employment with the club will be for an indefinite term. Employment will be “at will”, which means that the employment relationship may be terminated by either the Head Tennis Professional or club at any time.
