Executive Director
 
Tennis Association
This position includes both administrative and program responsibilities for juniors and adults.
 
Administrative Responsibilities:
 
Regular communication with members and other partners on events and programs through eblasts and other marketing techniques; use of social media to promote  events and programs; maintenance and regular updating of the web site; securing sponsorships; providing the Board of Directors with monthly updates of activities and accomplishments; administration of grants from the Intermountain Tennis Association (ITA) and timely submission of reports to ITA; preparation of an annual budget and timely submission of check requests and bills to the accountant; working closely with the President of the Board to develop direction and agendas for the association, materials for BOD meetings and the annual report;
arranging face-to-face and telephonic meetings of the Board; attendance at BOD , ITA and USTA meetings as assigned; preparation and presentation of district reports at ITA meetings; working with other Executive Directors and the ITA in a positive and
collaborative manner and participation in regular conference calls and training; administers and approves sanctions for USTA tournaments in the state and assists other tournament directors as needed; administration of the Wyoming Youth Tennis Foundation grants program.
 
Junior program responsibilities:
 
Development of a short and long term strategic plan for development of youth tennis in Wyoming from U10 to high performance; training of a statewide network of NET GENERATION providers at schools, clubs, public parks, and CTA’s; implementation of the USTA Youth Progression through Red, Orange, Green, and Yellow (ROGY) programs and events; working closely with schools to develop and maintain tennis as part of their PE programs; implementation of Junior Team Tennis (JTT) in targeted communities; training local providers on use of USTA/NETGENERATION
computer applications for registration of players and programs;
assistance to local providers in developing a program of playdays, local tournaments and other junior events in their communities; regular maintenance if junior rankings; tournament director for District Level junior tournaments as assigned;
facilitates player development in cooperation with teaching professionals;
works collaboratively with CTA’s, clubs, high school coaches, Parks and
Recreation and other organizations.

DLC responsibilities:
 
Marketing and implementation of League Tennis program across the state
in compliance with League National Regulation; recruiting captains and players; securing facilities for District league events; ordering supplies, awards,
captains gifts and other materials for events; securing sponsorships; serving
as Tournament Director for league events (Adult 18 & over, 40 & over, 55 & over, Mixed 18 & over and ITA Fall Mixed Events);
updating district league regulations in compliance with national and section regulations; assisting captains and players with TennisLink; administration of
the National Tennis Ratings Program (NTRP) including dynamic ratings, self-
rate and NTRP appeals; working closely with the Section League Coordinator (SLC);
providing all necessary reporting and certification of advancing teams to the Section
in a timely manner; participation in training and regular conference calls with other DLC’s in the Intermountain Section.
 
Skills:
 
Excellent written and verbal communication; self-discipline to work from home; fundraising; strategic planning; recruiting and marketing; word processing,
database/spreadsheet and publishing skills; use of web-based applications, websites and social media; customer service; training and teaching; ability to positively interact with juniors, adult players, volunteers, clubs and other partners; budgeting and responsible financial management..
 
Qualifications and Experience:
 
Current certification as a USTA NET GENERATION provider; administrative, financial management and budgeting experience; experience in the non-profit sector; experience in teaching/ training and working with youth; demonstrated record of accomplishment and program development; ability to offer vision and innovative ideas to the Board of Directors.
 
College degree at the baccalaureate level, professional certification through
USPTA/USPTR, past experience in the tennis industry and with USTA programs highly desirable.
