Title:

Tennis Professional

Job Description & Requirements:

We want to regenerate the success of the coaching and playing programmes of yesteryear and with a large surrounding population and multiple junior and senior schools (including 3 grammar schools within a short walk and 3 more within travelling distance) the raw material is on the doorstep.

A relatively small current membership makes the club a very friendly environment, with members also undertaking significant volunteering to maintain the courts and the facilities to a high standard.  It also means there is significant court space and time for an incoming coach despite being only a three (hard) court club.

We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic tennis coach to re-build our programmes. You will need to re-build the schools contact programme and after school clubs, you should be prepared to deliver holiday clubs and coaching clinics (including adults). You will have carte blanche to design your own programmes, marketing materials and communications. We will give you access to the clubs social media and website accounts.

A competent coach either looking for an opportunity to build a programme from scratch (perhaps a first club coach position or a coach now re-balancing non-tennis commitments (e.g. retiring) and now with the personal time to create a new coaching set up. Clearly you should be able to work with players of all ages and abilities and ideally be willing to play for and represent the club in leagues and competitions. You must be driven, willing to take on a challenge and show creatively in rebuilding a coaching and playing programme.

You should be of a decent standard to hit with aspiring juniors and adults and be available to work a mix of day-times, evenings and weekends (you will design your own timetable).

This is a fantastic opportunity for a coach to create and build their own club programme.
