Job Description & Requirements:

The Director of Tennis is responsible for developing and implementing tennis programs for youth players as well as promoting the organization and teaching lessons. Specific areas of responsibility include planning, evaluating, and implementing USTA 10 And Under Tennis.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, organize and implement tennis programs for all youth ages and skill levels.
• Collaborate with USTA NorCal to develop, organize and implement USTA 10 And Under Tennis programs to include but not limited to H.I.T.S., H.I.T.S. Red Ball, R.O.G. Tennis, and Play Days.
• Develop, organize and implement tennis programs to support USTA’s Net Generation.
• Implement SCTA’s Target Market Initiative which includes contacting local elementary schools to promote and develop youth tennis programs.
• Develop, organize and implement annual SCTA’s USTA Jr Tennis Tournaments. • Prepare and submit reports as needed to SCTA Board.
• Prepare the annual calendar with input from Board.
• Attend Board meetings as required.

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of related work experience.
• Ability to effectively teach tennis to all youth groups.
• Must pass USTA background check.
• Must maintain current standing & membership with USPTA or PTR, and USTA.
